※ NOTE: In the case of ingesting organic substances, primarily blood, the effects of her ability seem to cause more long lasting or permanent physical changes. i.e. The change in Penne’s left eye color.

In exchange for her ability, Penelope gives up her mental sanity. Once she’s hit a tier, the side effects of her sacrifice become permanent and it becomes impossible for her to bring her sanity back to normal.
• Tier 1: 0-25% change. Changing smaller parts of her body (hands, feet, facial features) causes auditory hallucinations.
• Tier 2: 26-50% change. All previous body parts + hair, legs, arms— visual hallucinations appear at this stage, in addition to her auditory ones.
• Tier 3: 51-100% change. Full body change— Penne experiences everything listed above. During this tier, she also starts to believe that the hallucinations are real. It becomes nearly impossible for her to differentiate what's real, and what’s fake.
